How to state opinions: it seems to me, in my view.

ಯಾವ ಶಾಲೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು?
 ಅನಿಲ —  ಮಗನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಶಾಲೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಏನು? 
Which school is good for my son? What is your opinion?  
 ಭಾರತಿ —  ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಶಾಲೆಯೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಮಗು ದಿನಾ ದೂರ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 
In my opinion the nearby school itself is best. It seems wrong to me for a child to travel far every day.  
 ಅನಿಲ —  ಹೌದు, ನನಗೂ ಹಾಗೇ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಇದೆ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ? 
Yes, I feel the same. But the big school has more facilities, doesn't it?  
 ಭಾರತಿ —  ನಿಜ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಗುವಿನ ನಿದ್ದೆ, ಆಟ — ಇವೂ ಮುಖ್ಯ. 
True. But as I see it, the child's sleep and play matter too.  
 ಅನಿಲ —  ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದಿರಿ. ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಶಾಲೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಎಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತು! 
Well said. Everyone knows the nearby school is good!  
 ಭಾರತಿ —  ಹೌದು — ಅಂಗೈ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಬೇಕೇ? 
Indeed — does one need a mirror for a sore on the palm?

ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಹೇಳಲು ಮೂರು ದಾರಿ: ೧) “ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ …” ೨) “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ …” ೩) “ನನಗೆ … ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ”. “ಅನಿಸು” ಕ್ರಿಯಾಪದಕ್ಕೆ ಚತುರ್ಥಿ ಬೇಕು: ನನಗೆ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ?

Three ways to frame an opinion: ನನ್ನ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ('in my opinion', formal), ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ('according to me', neutral), and the most idiomatic — ನನಗೆ … ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ('it seems to me'). Note that ಅನಿಸು takes a dative experiencer, like ಬೇಕು and ಇಷ್ಟ: ನನಗೆ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ?. To soften a criticism, say ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ('it seems not right') instead of a blunt ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ.

ಇಂದಿನ ಗಾದೆ: “ಅಂಗೈ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಬೇಕೇ?” ಅಂಗೈ = ಕೈಯ ಒಳಭಾಗ; ಹುಣ್ಣು = ಗಾಯ. ಅಂಗೈ ಮೇಲಿನ ಹುಣ್ಣು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುತ್ತದೆ — ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಅರ್ಥ: ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುವ ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ.

Today's gāde: ಅಂಗೈ ಹುಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಿ ಬೇಕೇ? — for a sore on your own palm, do you need a mirror? You can see your palm directly, so obvious truths need no proof. Drop it in a discussion when someone demands evidence for the self-evident. The ಏ on ಬೇಕೇ makes it a rhetorical question.
