ಜನರಿಗೂ “ಅನ್ನು” ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಗಂಡಸರ ಹೆಸರು -ಅ ಅಂತ್ಯ: ರಾಮ → ರಾಮನನ್ನು, ಹುಡುಗ → ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು (ನ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ, ವ ಅಲ್ಲ). ಹುಡುಗಿ → ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು.

People take -annu too, but masculine nouns in -a use a different glue-sound: ನ್, not ವ್. So ರಾಮ → ರಾಮನನ್ನು, ಹುಡುಗ → ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು (compare the thing-noun ಪುಸ್ತಕ → ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು). Feminine ಹುಡುಗಿ ends in -i, so it takes ಯ್: ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು.

Pronouns have set object forms — learn them as words: ಅವನನ್ನು (him), ಅವಳನ್ನು (her), ಅವರನ್ನು (them / him-her respectful), ನನ್ನನ್ನು (me), ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು (you, informal), ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು (you, respectful). With people the -annu never drops, even in casual speech.
